What a mutation changes
Mutations are rerolls on a character at your plot. They multiply that miner. They do not raise ore drop luck. Super Drop Luck is the separate pass for finds.
Multipliers that were written down
| Mutation | Observed multiplier | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Ice | 11.41x | One recorded roll |
| Rainbow | 4.72x | One recorded roll |
| Rare | About 40x while mining, listed at 80x | Seen on an Exotic Goku test |
| Diamond | Named, number not published | Cash reroll |
| Platinum | Named, number not published | Cash reroll |
Do not average these into a tier chart. Ice at 11.41x and Rainbow at 4.72x are single observations, and Rare was measured twice in different ways in one showcase.
When to roll
Roll a miner you will still use after the next zone. A mutation on a common you are about to replace is wasted cash. Damage-side results matter first when rocks are stalling. Luck and income results matter after the same rocks already break.
Luck passes and potions
Mutation Luck is 99 Robux for 1.5x roll luck. Major Mutation Luck is 799 Robux for 5x roll luck. Both are described as stacking with mutation luck potions. A potion is temporary. The passes stay on the account. Neither pass changes character or ore discovery rates.
Enchanted Dice are a different item. One test turned a dice roll into an Earthquake effect that hit nearby rocks. That is an enchant behavior, not a mutation name.
Soul Forge
Soul Forge is named as a later objective tied to index progress and extra mutation slots. The exact unlock cost is not published. One play note thought the next step required another basic mutation.
